La hora del Planeta (Earth Hour)

Ya estamos siendo testigos del impacto del cambio climático, por eso World Wildlife Fund organizó en todo el mundo la hora del Planeta. El sábado 29 de marzo, a las 8pm horario de San Francisco participaremos apagando todas las luces y aparatos eléctricos por una hora.

Este movimiento comenzó el año pasado, en Sydney, Australia, y redujo el consumo en un 10%. Por supuesto que el principal objetivo no es el de cortar el consumo por una hora, sino el ponerse de pie, analizar, actuar y comunicar acerca de lo que uno puede hacer para reducir el consumo de energía diariamente. De esta manera podemos retrazar el cambio climático.

Hay muchísimas maneras de reducir el consumo de energía. La hora dedicada al Planeta simboliza y trata de globalizar la concientización de la situación para que todos actuemos y mejoremos la problemática ambiental.

You, as an artist, will unfold the infinite mystery of life and share it with the world. It may be just two people your work will communicate to. Don't be upset. Be upset if you are not happy with your work. Never be upset about how many people have seen it, or how many reviews it has received. Your work will exist and keep influencing the world. Moreover, your work will keep changing the very configuration of our world no matter what kind of attention it gets or doesn't get. So even when you are an unkown artist, be caring of what you make and what you give out. Your work, no matter what, affects the world, and in return, it brings back 10 times what you've given out. If you give out junk, you get back junk. If you give out confusion, you will give yourself confusion. If you give out something beautiful, you will get back 10 times more beauty in your life. That's how it works.

¿Cuál es la realidad?

El agua es vida (?)

El Associated Press reporta que han sido detectados residuos de medicamentos en los suministros de agua potable para al menos 41 millones de estadounidenses.
Estudios de investigación han revelado la existencia de más de 15 tipos de medicamentos o sus subproductos en varios ríos de aguas pristinas, reservorios, y acueductos que alimentan el mayor sistema acuífero del país, entre ellos: antibióticos, anticonvulsivos, antidepresivos y hormonas sexuales.

El organismo de las personas absorbe parte del medicamento, y el resto lo desecha. Las aguas cloacales son tratadas antes de ser descargadas en las reservas, ríos o lagos. Allí son limpiadas en plantas de tratamiento y enviadas a los consumidores. Pero la mayoría de los tratamientos no eliminan los residuos medicinales.

Hay leyes federales que obligan a los proveedores a distribuir informes anuales al consumidor que revelan la cantidad de sustancias reguladas en el agua. Sin embargo, no tienen obligación de informar contaminantes no incluidos en la lista de la Dirección Ambiental Federal (EPA).
Esta lista no incluye ningún producto farmacéutico.

MY MESSAGE FOR PEACE AND HARMONY

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

We all need to pray for one another, and to love one
another. We should always pray for the safety, peace,
love and brotherhood for people all over the world.
Too bad we can’t have an independence day for the
entire world. A day of freedom from ignorance, hatred,
war, illusions, power and control. A day where we can
all love each other as human beings and toss away the
weapons of war, and cast out our fears and hatreds
from our hearts into the graves. We must mourn the
graves of the innocents all over the world, and give
the children of the world the hope of a peaceful,
loving and beautiful world.

A world full of love and without hatred or fear. A
world where we can join hands together and accept one
another, regardless of our skin color, ethnic
divisions, religion or nationality. If we don’t unite
as a human race, then we have condemned the future
generation of children a dark and very grim future.
Think of love, compassion and peace always…

MY PRAYER FOR PEACE AND HARMONY
Merciful God, You made all of the people of the world
in Your own image and placed before us the pathway of
salvation through different Preachers who claimed to
have been Your Saints and Prophets. But, the
contradictions (made by us) in the interpretation of
Your teachings have resulted in creating divisions,
faith based hatreds and bloodshed in the world
community. Millions of innocent men, women and
children have so far been brutally killed by the
militants of several religions who have been
committing horrifying crimes against humanity and
millions more would not be butchered by them in the
future, if You guide and help us find ways to reunite
peacefully.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, THE COMPASSIONATE, THE MERCIFUL,
look with compassion on the whole human family; take
away the controversial teachings of arrogance,
divisions and hatreds which have badly infected our
hearts; break down the walls that separate us; reunite
us in bonds of love; and work through our struggle and
confusion to accomplish Your purposes on earth; that,
in Your good time, all nations and races could jointly
serve You in justice, peace and harmony. (Amen)
